The Beach Series

1995–1996

People at the seashore fascinate me. They walk around in what amounts to their underwear, completely unselfconscious, and more relaxed than you’d ever see them in any other setting.

I become a voyeur at the beach, watching these semi-clothed people through my camera lens, and somehow they never notice. I find so much humor in how unabashedly easy in their skin people are in this setting.
